Rewarding play
The white sand bunkers and multiple water hazards at this course are a challenge worth taking
Designed by Les Furber, the Cardston Lee Creek Valley Golf Course offers 18 gratifying holes of golf along with scenic playing conditions and plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities.

Gwen Murray is the assistant manager at the facility and she said the entire course is a challenge to play but everyone can enjoy it. There are four tee boxes on each hole so players can choose which box to tee off from, depending on their skill level. Club selection is important on this course.
The greens are elevated and each hole offers varying degrees of risk and reward. One of Murray’s favourite holes is Number 9.
“For me, it’s a feel-good hole,” she said. “You tee off and you can be on the green in three and easily par it if you’re hitting really well.”
Murray also enjoys Number 17.
“Number 17 is elevated from way up top and it’s a real challenge ’cause you have a large dugout water hazard on the right-hand side and you have a cart path and rough on the left so you really have to be on your game to play it well,” she said. “And it’s just fun.”
Golfers aren’t the only ones who frequent the course—everything from birds and gophers to deer, bears and the occasional cougar have been spotted on the links.
The Cardston Lee Creek Valley Golf Course is equipped with a clubhouse (burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs and the like are available), a pro shop, full cart rentals, a grass driving range, practice putting area and practice chipping area.
