A golf utopia
Enjoy 18 holes of golf in a secluded southwestern Alberta setting
C.P.G.A. member Michael Steeves speaks highly of the course at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort.
“(It is) one of the most enjoyable and scenic golf courses that I have ever played,” he said.
Steeves, who is the head golf professional at the resort, said Paradise Canyon is a desert-style course that is unique to the area and everyone can enjoy its championship layout.
“Being that we are a resort course, we are tailored to any type of golfer,” he said.
Paradise Canyon, however, isn’t for the faint of heart since it boasts the ultimate heart-pounding fairways.
The signature hole on the course is Number 12; from the tournament tees, this hole is a 154-yard par 3 that requires golfers to shoot straight downhill. According to Steeves, the tee area for Number 12 has an amazing view of the Old Man River. His personal favourite, Number 5, also affords an excellent view of the suspension bridge—one of Lethbridge’s landmarks.
In addition to the golf opportunities, Paradise Canyon offers tennis courts, a swimming pool, one- and two-bedroom villas and many more amenities.
