Cranbrook
A taste of Scotland
This course gives everyone a chance to get out on its Scottish-style links course and challenge themselves
Sitting at the highest elevation point in the Kootenay Valley, this course offers more than just awe-inspiring views of the Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges. Players can brush up on both their short and long games, with some holes demanding thoughtful putting and others requiring 250-metre drives.
Fun And Freedom: This family-run course offers a friendly atmosphere and is famous for its country cuisine.—Way-Lyn Ranch Golf Course photo
The Scottish-style links on the newer part of the course distinguish Way-Lyn from many other Canadian courses, with long, natural grasses providing challenges in the deep rough areas.
In the early days of the course, the surrounding ranchland occasionally brought curious cattle onto the greens, but golfers can now be assured a bovine-free day out on the course. The scenery, unusual obstacles and friendly faces will bring golfers back time and again to Way-Lyn Ranch, known as the place to play.
