Fernie Golf Club has been a long favorite, dating back to 1918. Noted for it's stunning views of the rockies, this golf course has something to offer for both the low handicap player and beginner alike. With luscious greens, luminous sand bunkers, and varied terrain the golf course is a players dream. The course is a par 70, and is 6,556 yards long.

The club welcomes some key staff to the organization this season. "My two assistants will be heading up the Junior Program this season," said the new Head CPGA Pro and General Manager, Mel Dies. We are offering a variety of group clinics for specific training as well as a wide range of private and semi-private lessons. Be sure to stop by the pro shop to say hello!

You will also see a new menu at the sprawling, 5000 square foot Clubhouse, which will be operated by Claude and Lillis Perreault - the owners of the Corner Pocket Restaurant in Fernie. One of our main focuses is to attract some of the local market, who wouldn't normally come and dine at the Clubhouse.

"We will be extending our hours - offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our goal is to attract some of the locals and extend our menu to the general public", said Claude. "Our clubhouse can accommodate up to 150 people - and features one of the best decks, offering some of the most breath taking views in the area."

There certainly is a lot more to this club than just a great view - it just keep on getting better with every season.
