Opened in 1976, this facility is a popular destination for golfers of all ages, and is home to two of the Kootenays' toughest par 3's, however, it is ideally suited for all skill levels.
Known as the region's most affordable golf course, the nine-hole layout was built on a natural Elk grazing meadow with towering spruce trees and a sparkling natural creek, which adds to the appeal and uniqueness of the course. Over time it has been transformed into one of the most golfer-friendly courses in the Kootenays.
Each hole has two sets of tees so the back nine plays much different than the front nine. The course is both challenging and fun. For the competitive golfers, water comes into play on six of the nine holes. Each of the remaining holes has their own unique challenges but you'll find with wide open fairways and ample room for errant shots, beginners will have as much fun as the experienced players.
Mountain Meadows is a great outing for families. Being situated in the wilderness capital of B.C. means players often have the opportunity to witness elk, deer and moose - wandering through the course.
