The East Kootenays has become a popular golf destination and is quickly emerging as the newest “hot” golf destination in Canada. Whiskey Jack Resort, is a Fred Couples Signature Golf Course Design and will feature 18-holes of exceptional golf.
Noted professional golfer Fred Couples and his design partner Gene Bates - winner of “Best New Golf Course” awards for the past four years from Golf and Golf Digest magazines - have crafted a course that takes full advantage of Whiskey Jack’s natural surroundings. Several glacier-fed streams run through the course - which will have a number of memorable water features. Alpine meadows, old growth forest, and the Kootenay Rockies add to the unique character of the course. To complete this impressive project, there will be a magnificent golf Clubhouse.
When completed, there will be 15 km of trails intertwined throughout the development - used for hiking, biking or cross-country skiing. Other amenities include a Resort Centre with spa, exercise, and banquet facilities.
Additionally, Whiskey Jack Resort will boast over 850 individual residences, including single family dwellings, cabins, townhomes and condominiums.
The Resort Centre will also combine a hotel and upscale suites with ground floor commercial space for quaint shops.
