This summer promises a selection of fantastic golfing events in B.C. and Alberta. Here are a few of the most significant tournaments that golfers are looking forward to in the 2009 season.

May 31 - Jun 7, 2009 - Times Colonist Open - Victoria, B.C.

The challenging Uplands Golf Club will be hosting the 26th annual Times Colonist Open tournament this year. Jim Rutledge is returning for 2009, and other golf pros will also be there, so don’t miss this top-notch event.

June 8 - 14, 2009 - City of Surrey Invitational - Surrey, British Columbia

Hosted by Hazelmere Country Club, this tournament not only draws enthusiastic golfers to South Surrey, but also benefits a great cause. June 22 - 28, 2009 - ATB Financial Classic - Calgary, Alberta

The Canadian Tour has announced that the 2009 ATB Financial Classic is taking place at the Sirocco Golf Club, and there will be 156 competitors hitting the green this year.
