The Golf Club at The Rise, a Fred Couples signature golf course, is teeing off its first full season this weekend in Vernon B.C. The stunning course has been nominated for Best New Golf Course by Score Golf and opened to critical acclaim last June with Couples and Calgary Flames Captain Jarome Iginla golfing the inaugural round. To celebrate their first full season, The Golf Club at The Rise will open on April 17 with an opening week special of $49 until April 23. Terry Yacyshen, resort general manager at The Rise, says the course has only gotten better since last year’s opening.

“The course has really matured beautifully since last year and despite its challenging design, we’ve carefully managed the natural grasslands to make it much friendlier for the mid to high handicappers,” Yacyshen said. “With five tee boxes for every hole, everyone can enjoy this beautiful course.”

Described by international luxury lifestyle magazine, The Robb Report, as being one of Canada’s top new golf courses, The Golf Club at The Rise merges breathtaking scenery with challenges and opportunities for every level of golfer, integrated into the rugged natural topography of the Vernon highlands.

The championship course was designed by Couples/Bates Design, an affiliation between Fred Couples and award-winning golf course architect Gene Bates. Construction for the 18-hole signature course was by BMR Golf, whose credits also include the award-winning Greywolf at Panorama Mountain Resort and The Dunes in Kamloops.

Players can expect a round filled with awe-inspiring views, challenging holes and impeccably maintained greens and fairways. The Golf Club at The Rise strives to provide the best experience for any level of golfer. With five tees at every hole, players can continually improve their skills on a championship course, without being intimidated in the beginning.
